Sup Everybody,

I'm deciding that my LJ will "go dark" so to speak as of now. I don't check it particularly frequently, I rarely post anymore, and even the low levels of maintenance and keeping up with it I find to be tedious...so I'm not going to anymore. Katie still loves her some LJ and I'm sure that if something big happens she will keep me in the loop, but don't expect that I know whats going on if it was posted on LJ. I had put Jacob's lunch on his little table to see how long it would take for him to notice it. Before long, he went to the bathroom, and came out a different way and came upon his lunch. His words were...

"Magic happened while I was in the bathroom!"

That quote without any context is funny enough, but he won't stop going on about his magic lunch. Its hilarious.

Me: Jacob, you need to start doing a better job of cleaning up your K'Nex when you get done playing with them. When baby Sophie gets here, she won't know any better and might put the pieces in her mouth.

Jacob: And then what would happen?

Me: She could choke.

Jacob: And then what would happen?

Me: Well, she could die if she choked

Jacob: I know, and then I would be missing pieces!

I'm really happy right now...not only is life going exceedingly well and my Katie loves me, but Obama was elected president tonight....good stuff.

I feel for McCain though...his concession speech reminded me why I liked him in the first place and reminded me of the man he was before he was the GOP nominee. He deserved better I think

Pete Van Wieren is retiring...

Now that Skip has died and now Pete is gone, I am beginning to find it really hard to get myself to think I'll watch very many Braves games next year. Nothing against Joe Simpson or Don Sutton, but Skip and Pete made that broadcast team.

You'll be sorely missed Pete...its hard to be a Braves fan these days

Many minutes of silence as Jacob plays in his room and I read about Keating Five for roughly the thousandth time in my life time. Then the following exchange happened to my surprise and amusement.

Jacob: (yelling from his room) Ugh....you lost it!!!
Me: Huh?
Jacob: Where is this piece!?
Me: Jacob, I don't know what you are talking about
Jacob: (comes out of room) This!!
Me: Thats a K'nex piece
Jacob: I know, you lost it!
Me: Its in your hand Jacob
Jacob: I know that. I'm very mad at you!! (tears)
Me: Why? What did I do?
Jacob: I thought you lost it!!
Me: ...But I didn't...you have it in your hand
Jacob: Why did you lose it?
Me: I didn't lose it....you have it.
Jacob: Err...I'm very mad at you

*storms off*

Several minutes later....

Jacob: Where is it!!!??
Me: In your hand
Jacob: Not that one...the other one!!
Me: (Goes into room) The other piece like that one?
Jacob: Yes, you lost it. I'm very disappointed in you.
Me: (Looks around) Jacob, its on your dresser
Jacob: (Grabs piece, begins playing without incident)
Me: Jacob, don't you have something to say to me since you were mean?
Jacob: Yes, don't lose my Knex pieces ever again
Me: I think you should say that you are sorry for being mean to me for no reason.
Jacob: But you lost my stuff...and that makes me sad.
Me: ....but I didn't lose your stuff.
Jacob: Then where is it?
Me: Look Jacob, a cookie

10:14 am - Help with the future spawn's moniker

If you have already read Katie's LJ entry, then this isn't news to you....however, I wanted to make sure that everyone got a chance to weigh in on this discussion. We are currently in the "choose the baby name" phase and would like some outside thoughts. We have a list of names we like and need help narrowing down and making choices. A couple things, 1) My last name is Cole, so picking names that go well with that are definitely a plus, 2) We really like Marie as a middle name for a girl, and 3) Your suggestions should also be accompanied by your thoughts for an "alternative" name for the child (i.e. what would the Jarlag Mordecai equivalent for this name be?) Also, I have yet to get more official word on what the child's title will be. Is the consensus Crusher of Dreams, Defiler of Women....because while I think those are hilarious, proscribing sexuality onto the child may not be the best idea. Here are the choices:

I had forgotten that I had committed to another league a couple months ago and I had already maxed out on my leagues in Yahoo!. Is it possible for you to find another team in the very near future. Sorry about the late notice....but I was just reminded of it. Sorry...I'm a bad "exists only at wedding and in LJ" friend.

Thanks for everything Skip Caray...for a young Braves fan you were the voice that I heard during almost every game I watched and I'll never forget that. You were a class act and will be sorely missed. Say hi to your dad for all of us for we miss him too. Also, let him know that his Cubbies are doing really well, but to not get his hopes up (he knows why).

Sad day for a baseball fan...take it easy Skip.

09:19 pm - Beat Egger with a Stick

Just so everyone is aware, Egger has returned from the land of drinking and, formerly, Nazis. However, he has done so in a covert fashion without letting the outside world know that he was returning. While this is understandable given his need to tend to Serena's needs, I still feel like its important to flog him and call him repeatedly to berate him about his covertness and not telling of people. And what better way to make a "call to arms" of sorts to lambast and welcome Egger back than LiveJournal. So if you know the Egger-man, call him and berate him immediately. Or if you see him, punch him in the shoulder and make fun of his haircut.

10:15 pm - In need of help with the moving

Whats up everybody,

This is a general call out for assistance with the moving festivities this coming Saturday (the 28th of June). While Katie and I don't have a ton of stuff to move per se, some of those things include a couch and beds and whatnot that I cannot move by myself (well, I could move them...but not in any way that will be productive and will likely be painful to yours truly). The moving is occurring Saturday morning (not pretend morning where morning is when one wakes up, we are picking up the moving truck at 9 am) and is going until its done. Food and drink will be provided to those who help (includes some sort of sandwiching for the lunch and if you hang around afterwards some sort of dinner...we can't do the folks crash at our place drinking type thing because the place is super-duper small and the Jacob beast man is going to be there). Further details can be acquired by talking to me or Katie. A couple things of note...

1.) Everything is going to be packed by the time the moving happens. Many boxes have already been packed and many more will be packed to make the process easier on Saturday. You won't be packing (at least I hope so...otherwise things have gone horribly wrong) on Saturday, you will be actually moving things.

2.) There is a U-Haul...its not a load up a bunch of cars, take a bunch of loads type thing. That sucks....this is a one load trip.

3.) A lot of the stuff will already be moved. This is a week long thing for us and I will move many boxes before Saturday ever happens so that Saturday isn't the genocaust. Trust me...I do not want to be moving things all day either. Hence the needing lots of people....makes it take much less time.

4.) I don't want to pull this card....if you don't help, I may have to place a curse upon your houses. There, I said it...its out there.

Seriously, any help would really be appreciated...I'm not exactly a moving machine and some of the furniture weighs more than I do. I just can't do it by myself and while we do have a little help...it would be a lot easier with some more. I know some folks are going to be out of town, but if you aren't...any help would be awesome. Also, Garrett is creepy, Moose smells like death, and Andrew violated a dishwasher (I have pictures).

Its very early....whoever invented early should be beaten. I didn't sleep well at all, don't feel very well, and have that general feeling of malaise that makes doing anything feel like a chore. Sigh...it is not a good morning to be a Leppy.

Just a friendly reminder from your neighborhood Leppy...

If you plan on making a private post, make absolutely sure that it is set to private...particularly if you are calling out and airing out all of the dirty laundry you have with someone(s) who have access to LiveJournal. I'm not going to go into too many specifics here...just know that a lengthy post written about myself and Katie was intended to be a rant in private. A couple things for the general public...

1) These issues have been the focal points of several conversations during the week and we are moving towards some compromises so that everyone is happy...no, Katie and I are not heartless, Nazi people who wish to make the existence of those around us more difficult. I, myself, had a long conversation with Case one-on-one about a lot of this...those who know the situation know the astonishment that should accompany the idea of such a meeting occurring.

2) Katie is not a piece of property....therefore, she cannot be "stolen" from anyone. Women are not things and friends are to be treated as people, not car stereos

3) Yes...I am good in bed (apparently, feel free to ask Katie to confirm) and that is why she was willing to stay in a relationship with me long enough to fall madly in love with me. I apologize for nothing.

Whats up everybody,

Its been a little while since I updated the LJ, so here it goes...

1.) Debate has yet again found a way to screw me and I will not be debating the rest of the semester due Mark's (my partner) inability to get the requisite grades to travel. Its no good...but at the same time it does give me some free time to spend with Katie and getting other stuff done around here.

2.) School is going okay...a combination of me being sick and my professors being gone has resulted in few classes...but I should be caught up by the end of this week with everything I need to be.

3.) Katie is the awesome and I love her very much. If you haven't heard, assuming I don't manage to screw things, Katie and I are going to move in together in the summer. I'm pretty excited about it...we should even be acquiring a puppy.

4.) After this post, I'm going to follow the leads of others and make my journal friends only.

5.) As a general rule, I feel like I have taken certain things for granted and let others go without proper response...so I'm going to be blunt. If you have a problem with me, tell me to my face because I'm too tired and bored with trying to sort out fact from fiction regarding this sort of thing. I have very real and important (to me anyways) things in my life that I'm trying to do and fighting for connections with people that only seem to help garner resentment via oversensitivity, misunderstanding, or general dislike as well as cause problems for me is not something I want to do anymore.

6.) Case...Tim confirmed the character name I gave you on Skullcrusher...thats him

7.) Buster...sorry about your drinking problems yesterday, the first step towards recovery I hear is acceptance. It was good seeing you and Arielle at lunch.

8.) Egger...congrats on not assaulting the small child that send salsa into your eye, I probably would have. Also good seeing you and Serena at lunch.

9.) Anna...hi roommie! Was good seeing you at lunch and we should definitely go visit Mt. Che-hal (spelling?) sometime, albeit not at 3 am.

10.) Sarah and small people...you are not friended on my LJ, but it was good seeing all of you as well (fear the raccoons Jack....fear them)

11.) My fingers are tired, so I'm going to go now....fair well. Also...Moose smells bad, Garrett is a wanted man in three states (seriously, check), Anie is short and like cats, Andrew can destroy a bathroom like no other, Hammad is going to be the smartest person to die in a 150 mph car crash, Fishman is skinny...just not as skinny as he used to be, and Tim (Sarah's Tim) likes LARP and football.
